Karina Hidas - International Alumni
Karina Hidas
I completed my studies at MATE and its predecessor institutions, first choosing a bachelor's degree in food engineering, and then deepening my knowledge in this field within the framework of a master's degree in food safety and quality engineering. The practice-oriented trainings allowed me to acquire professional knowledge, and to form a cohesive team with my colleagues by completing joint minutes, presentations, and project tasks.
As a doctoral student from 2018, I was able to gain a little insight into the life of the Institute of Food Science and Technology from the “other side”, where during my doctoral studies I participated in more and more research and education-related tasks. I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation, in which I looked for various solutions to prevent changes in the
composition of egg products due to freezing, in 2023. Since then, I have been working as a lecturer and researcher at the university, I also participate in the organization of education, and in the evenings I attend classes in our advanced training course in agricultural and natural science translation.
I believe that the Alumni network, in addition to existing collaborations, offers a great opportunity for a real dialogue to develop between university staff and graduates, and what's more, for us to grow and develop together.
